Women Changing Dentistry: Bibiana Sánchez

We begin a new interview series titled “Women who are Changing Dentistry,” a collection of interviews conducted by Oliver Goetzendorff (Area Manager Latin America) that offers a glimpse into the lives of entrepreneurial women working in the dental sector. Each of them shares something personal - their background, their aspirations, what drives and motivates them. These are women who inspire us!

Bibiana, Luz Mary, María Fernanda, and Vanessa are the first four entrepreneurs featured in the interview series.

Bibiana Sánchez: Paving the Way

This is the first interview in the series "Women who are Changing Dentistry," in which Oliver Goetzendorff speaks with marketing specialist Bibiana Sánchez, a leader in marketing strategies and education who is paving the way with her work and dedication.

From Bogotá, Bibiana Sánchez has built a solid career in the healthcare industry. A dentist by training and a marketing specialist by profession, her story is a journey through the professional, emotional, and spiritual life of a woman who has learned to adapt, reinvent herself, and flourish in challenging circumstances.

While in college, her parents faced financial difficulties, forcing her to postpone her seventh semester. During this time, she began working in the pharmaceutical industry, promoting a pediatric vaccine—an experience that introduced her to the corporate world. Although she had initially planned to study medicine, life led her down a different, yet equally meaningful, path. With financial support from her grandparents, she was able to complete her dentistry studies and launch her professional career, working in healthcare and even spending time abroad.

  • Bibiana Sánchez is changing dentistry by making courageous decisions that open up new possibilities for her.

A moment that left a lasting impression on her was watching a daisy she had planted grow so large that the pot could no longer contain it. “There are places where they don’t allow you to flourish,” she reflected. That metaphor has stayed with her ever since: if you’re not growing, it’s not your place.

Today, Bibiana is part of a multinational dental group, working in an environment that values cultural diversity, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing. She has learned new languages and strengthened her interpersonal skills—experiences that reaffirm her belief that life is better when it’s shared.

I firmly believe that when we pave the way, we don’t just move forward ourselves - we make space for many others to follow.

    Contribution to dentistry

For Bibiana Sánchez, changing dentistry is a way to honor courageous decisions—those made despite fear, without guarantees, but with conviction. She believes that true growth happens outside of one’s comfort zone, and that every step forward opens the door to new possibilities.
